“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something..” – Steve Jobs.
A couple years ago I read this quote that inspired me to pack up and explore the unknown. When approaching this New Year, remember your life is a canvas and you are the artist. You get to paint the picture. If you are unhappy, do something about it. Don’t forget the dreams inside your head, they’re only there until your dead. Happy New Year!

Bought my flight to Myanmar a while back and just started doing some planning. Extremely excited about this country. I have no idea what to expect.

No surprise to me that 2013 has been the best year is my life, without a doubt. The places I’ve been fortunate to see, the travelers who became my family, the locals I’ve learned so much from, the moments my breath has been taken away, the things I have realized and faced about myself, the ups and downs I’ve experienced, the personal limits I’ve pushed, the feeling of leaving everything familiar and the impact my character has gained are absolutely priceless. I leave this year with immense gratitude and excitement as I can’t wait to grow older and carry with me everything I’ve experienced. I wish you all a very happy and safe New Years. To everyone I’ve met on the road this far.. Thank You. Thank You so much. Sending everyone a huge kiss, hug and warm smile from the beautiful Thailand.

Made a journey today to James Bond Island today in Phuket, Thailand. There were over a thousand people there and it was a less than enjoyable experience but glad I made it there. I left Koh Yao Noi, Thailand previously after spending one of the most memorable Christmas’ I’ve had in my life. I was apprehensive about spending the holidays away from home as Thanksgiving was less than enjoyable. However, while in Tonsai Beach, Krabi, Thailand, I had the pleasure of meeting an amazing group of 6 people who all pitched in and rented a magnificent house in the hills overlooking the ocean filled with limestone boulders. Being the youngest of the group (for a change), we made an excellent Christmas away from home. We spent the four days with immense laughter and great company. Three of the women were from Spain so I got to practice my español. It definitely was a Christmas I’ll never forget in the warm, sunny Thailand. I am heading to Koh Phangan tomorrow for the biggest party in Asia.. or so they say. I wish I was going three years ago because I am sure I would enjoy it more, however, this is something not to be missed. Bring on the Mayhem!

Merry Christmas Everyone!! It’s the big day. Everyone enjoy your time with your families and friends. We all are so lucky to have them. All is GREAT here in Koh Yao Noi, Thailand, an island between Krabi and Phuket. I met some wonderful people in Krabi and all eight of us combined pocketbooks and rented a house/mansion in the hills overlooking the ocean and limestone cliffs. I went from sleeping in a tent one night to staying in this estate with an infinity pool, inside waterfall and hot water (for under $25.00 a night, per person ). We all stayed up playing games until the wee hours of the morning drinking and having great conversation. Although everyone is really, really missed, it’s nice to have formed this home away from home on such an important and difficult day to be so far away. But, all is good here. I am very thankful to have you all as part of my life. Love y’all and Merry Christmas! // Photo of Maya Bay, Koh Phi Phi, Thailand.
